The birth of a Daemon.

Well finally some paint on this bad boy, the flesh is done bar picking out the odd boil and the bone/talons etc are done bar the horns on his head. Next up is the armour then the few other pieces before getting onto the base, he should be finished and ready for his close up by the end oft he week.

Still a few bits to finish off before moving onto the armour, the eyes for example but hes getting there.

Thanks for reading

A plague of boils.

Good morning fair reader, fortified with a healthy dose of Bugman's finest I've dived back into the wonderfully disgusting world of the Plague father to bring some more of his gifts to his newest servant. . .

Some additions to the undersides of the wings and to the tail.

Thanks

Organised chaos.

Much like my taste in music the way I paint is a tad.... schizophrenic. Much as I bounce between trance and death metal I tend to bounce around projects so I have allot of half finished things on my desk... Well in an effort to clear it I thought I'd sort out what I have mid-way soooo....

The mark II plaguebrute, some tweaking going on here on request but nearly there... Namely this bad boy needed more pink :P

An Iron warriors daemon Prince with a Nurgle twist, with the 'Nurgle' punched up a notch "bam!" any Futurama fans should get the reference...

A small piece for my father for christmas as Rome total war II isn't out till next year so he'll have to look at this for now :P

A squad of warp talons, nearly there with these guys then just need to do the jump packs. I chose to do the jump packs separately as they have quite allot of detail and didn't want to be trying to reach awkward areas, that and the vanes are a real bitch to get on and keep on.

Next a duo of magical ladies, one of whom looks shockingly finished!

A Chaos lord along with some scum....

Another band of the Plague fathers finest, I love this kit, great details, humour aplenty, a pleasure to work with.

A unit of Skull crushers, very much early stages on these guys, The rocks also have a back piece which I've kept incase I think they need a second rank :P These guys are truely warriors of the blood god, just looking at the sprues I stabbed myself twice!

And finally and perhaps most shockingly I've started some of my space wolves! 10k of Wolves and only two squads painted atm.....

Having reached the end of this I've realised  how much I need to download an English dictionary for Firefox, the standard setting is 'American' and they seem to have some form of vendetta against the letter 'u'....

Well thank you for reading and I wish you happy gaming, now back the unorganised chaos of my painting desk....

Only a handful of sacrfices away. . .

. . . from apotheosis.

The Deamon prince is nearing build completion, with only a few details left to dry and a final clean up before the next stage is ready to go. . . .

The brief is for an Iron  warriors prince with just a touch of Nurgle, so a few Nurglings and some very minor mutation with alittle rust added but not much. We are aiming for a hint of Grandfather Nurlge's love.

So some pictures... the rocks are semi blacked out as I've sealed them with PVA and the black paint mixed in shows up any areas that have been missed with the first coat....

So a small burst boil on the abdomen, a growth on the left foot....

Two small growths/boils on the upper face of the wing, and one on the undersdie

and finally the tri-mark of the plague god on the hip... Plus of course those cheeky Nurglings one of whom is taking a swim.

The Mark II Plaguebrute has also undergone a minor mutation with the addition of more pink!

I also have an early Roman general that I'm doing as a xmas gift and some skullcrushers in the works but they are both drying/curing atm so I'll just leave alittle tease.

Thanks

Its alive!!!

Well the mark II is ALIVE!

The base is a little shiny as its not quite in these pictures but I was losing decent light sooo.

Alas no photos of the Deamon prince yet as adding pins to his feet and smoothing doesn't make very exciting photos. The little darling is currently drying / curing in the airing cupboard as the rocks are dental plaster and need a good bake to drive out moisture and increase the strength of the piece. But the assembley should be complete soon with pretty pictures before paint.

Thanks
